I am loving being able to share all of these stories of our ancestors. The only way we have them is because someone sat down and wrote them down. I’m realizing we don’t have many stories about our recent ancestors because we didn’t get a chance to sit down and ask them their stories. I’m hoping to add a page of our stories and memories. If you get a chance could you write down your favorite story or memory of your dad or grandpa (or uncle or aunt) any of the generations before you. If you’re willing to send it to me that would be amazing – freesfamily272@outlook.com. (Heck I don’t even care if you send me voice recording of you just telling the story. I’m more than willing to type it up!) Also if anyone is willing or able to sit down with your moms and ask them their story as much as they remember. (You can just turn on a voice recorder and let them talk) How they met your dads, favorite memory of their youth, stories about their parents or going to school. Etc. I want to be able to preserve these memories before they are gone. (History isn’t always pretty – as you can tell by the divorce records on our website – but its still our story. It gets a glimpse into why we are the way we are. How strong we are and how much we’ve overcome. )
